Paris Hilton landed herself a job. The heiress is set to guest star in the hit comedy series "My Name Is Earl" as herself.

Hilton, 27, will portray herself in Earl's (Jason Lee) dream sequence in the hour-long episode entitled "I Won't Die With A Little Help From My Friends." The episode will air on April 3.

The series' creator Greg Garcia jokes, "When we wrote the role of 'Paris Hilton' in the script, we weren't exactly sure who to go with for the role."

"But after an exhausting search we finally settled on a relatively unknown actress by the name of Paris Hilton. I can't wait to see what she does with the role, and I can't wait for America to discover her."

This is not Hilton's first small screen venture. She had starred on "The Simple Life" with best friend Nicole Richie and guest starred on "American Dreams," "The O.C.," "Veronica Mars," and "Las Vegas."

Paris Hilton has defended herself against criticism of her extensive pet collection, insisting she only owns 17 dogs because they keep breeding.

'The Simple Life' star is currently at the centre of a new Los Angeles Department of Animal Services investigation after recently boasting about her pooches on Ellen DeGeneres' TV chatshow.

However, Hilton claims her brood keeps growing because she doesn't want to separate newborn pups from their parents.

She says: "They keep having babies and I feel bad to give them away because I feel like, if I had a baby and someone gave it away it would be mean."

Benji Madden of Good Charlotte is apparently dating Paris Hilton.

Madden recently split with his Australian girlfriend, singer Sophie Monk, and has been photographed out and about in Los Angeles holding hands with Paris.

Good Charlotte even updated their blog with a ‘family photo’ in which Hilton appears.

Paris Hilton has revealed that she is working non-stop to ensure that her new footwear collection is a huge success.

The socialite insisted that she has designed all of the shoes herself, rather than simply putting her name to a collection which had already been produced.

"This week I am at my booth all day working, meeting all the buyers, showing them all my favourite styles and taking orders," Hilton told Fox News.

"We have monthly meetings where the design team comes in or I fly into New York, and we go over different designs and I'll send them drawings or inspirations. It is my line so I do it all, but it's a lot of fun to actually draw something and then actually see it here today."

Paris Hilton is determined to give her dogs the same luxurious lifestyle she enjoys herself - so she has built them a miniature version of her Los Angeles mansion.

Another Hilton has landed in the gray-bar hotel. Paris Hilton's younger brother, Barron, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of drunken driving, authorities said.

Barron Hilton, 18, was stopped after a witness reported seeing a black Mercedes-Benz weaving on the Pacific Coast Highway, at times drifting into the oncoming lane, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies arrested Hilton after he pulled over and got out of the car. He was booked in Malibu, where he registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.14 percent, authorities said. The legal limit in California is 0.08 percent.

He had a female passenger in the vehicle who had apparently been driving earlier and might have been involved in an accident, the Sheriff's Department said. She was not identified, and a call to the California Highway Patrol, which was investigating the woman's role, was not immediately returned.

Paris Hilton has lost her pet puss after failing to pick up her cat from the vet.

The socialite dropped Prada off to get neutered at the end of January and when she failed to return for the pussy, the vet called the woman Hilton adopted the cat from last year.

Now, catwoman Kris Kelly insists the hotel heiress has lost the feline - because, as far as she's concerned, Hilton has abandoned it.
