Paris Hilton's mother was shocked when she watched her daughter's documentary because the makers included scenes from the socialite's infamous sex tape. Kathy said it was "hard" for them to see it.

The hotel heiress is the focus of "Paris, Not France", a behind-the-scenes movie about the star's life that was made three years ago.

The picture premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France earlier this year and will make its TV debut in America Tuesday.

Paris’ mother Kathy watched the documentary at a preview screening, but she wasn't prepared to see footage of her eldest daughter engaging in sex acts with ex-lover Rick Salomon in the notorious 2003 video "One Night In Paris".

"I didn't know (the sex tape) was going to be in it. It's very tough. I can't believe they kept that part in there. I thought they kept that part out. It's very hard for us to watch," Kathy told E! Online. 

“Paris, Not France” will air on Tuesday July 28th at 8:30PM on MTV.

Paris Hilton sported six-inch stiletto heels and a black dress and amused the judge with a little wave on the way to the witness stand.

Once on the stand, though, Hilton was businesslike when it came to defending herself against an eight million dollar lawsuit's claim that she didn't do her part to promote the 2006 box-office bomb Pledge This!

She acknowledged in court the movie didn't turn out very well but insisted she plugged it for everything she was worth.

"If I have my name attached to something, I want it to be as big as it can be," the 28-year-old heiress, model and actress testified.

"It could have been a lot better if it was done more professionally. I wanted it to do as well as possible."

Hilton is accused by an investor's lawsuit of turning her back on the film, a box office bomb that made just 2.9 million dollars, at a crucial time when it was being released on DVD and in foreign markets.

The lawsuit, seeking 8.3 million dollars in damages, claims she violated her contract by rejecting or ignoring requests by producers to appear on talk shows and do radio and magazine interviews for the film.

Hilton insisted she was never told her contract required appearances after the October 2006 premiere of Pledge This! and said she spent more than two years promoting it beforehand, including two high-profile trips to the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Paris Hilton is "deeply saddened" by news of the death of a contestant from her reality TV show.

Kat McKenzie, 25, from Guildford, Surrey, - who was a finalist on Paris Hilton's British Best Friend on ITV2 earlier this year - died suddenly on Friday, the Sun reports.

Paris said: "She will be missed."

The cause of the ex-pole dancer's death was not clear but police were not treating it as suspicious.

Paris later wrote on Twitter: "It is devastating to hear of her loss, my thoughts and wishes go out to her friends and family. Love you Kitty Kat. RIP." and "I am so sad, my friend Kat from British BFF passed away. She was such a beautiful, funny, and charismatic woman. She will truly be missed."
